former Duke University Men's Golf Head Coach;
8th place finish in the 2005 NCAA Championship Tournament
Join Head Coach Rod Myers of Duke University as he goes over the fundamental techniques of improving your short game. Coach Myers covers three critical shots in the short game. First, there's the pitch-and-run shot that is a low running shot just off the green. Next he covers the pitch shot, which is more lofted and farther from the green. Last, he outlines the bunker shot. With extreme detail, Myers goes over each shot with a variety of clubs and from a variety of situations, and he also includes some very helpful drills to further advance your stroke. In addition to the three main areas, Myers also talks about rules dealing with hazards and obstructions. Furthermore, Myers highlights the importance of holding the club correctly, keeping your hands at the correct angle, the proper stance and how far away from the ball you should stand. With this video, the most difficult shots in golf will become easier.
